MID WINTER REPORT.

Monday, February 1st, 2010

The second winter of es-ride is going really well in both Verbier and Zermatt.

The first group of Trainee Instructors are going through their BASI Level 2 exams. Fingers crossed for a good set of results.

I would like to welcome to the team some new faces.

Virginia Pappadakis and Matt Spragg both are well qualified and have seasons of experience under their belts. They will be on hand to teach at any time.

We wish Jimbo well after damaging his ACL early season. Good luck with the OP mid Febuary.

Christmas Greetings.

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

The beginning of the winter has been as hectic as ever. Both Verbier and Zermatt are not as busy as last winter but still es-ride has had a steady flow of clients.

The trainee instructor group did very well on their BASI level one with a 90 percent pass rate, well done!!
Only negative news is that Jimbo has a tweeked knee and is out for a month. He ran out of room on a backcountry kicker landing. We hope he has a speedy recovery.

Opening of ES Ride in Zermatt

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

After a successful first year in Verbier , Graeme ‘Gibbo’ Gibson will be starting ES Ride in Zermatt . The new school will be offering a wide range of products which will include basic beginner lessons, backcountry adventures and freestyle sessions.  Pre-season courses will also be on offer,  which will  specifically be geared  towards getting you ready for up and coming BASI courses or to  get yourself match fit before the onslaught of winter.

Alongside Gibbo in Zermatt will be Liam Printer who has spent winters in both the Northern and  Southern Hemisphere working for a variety of different schools in both instructing and  freestyle coaching roles. Last winter Liam was coaching in Whistler.  Both our teachers are highly qualified and will be offering the highest levels of tuition and coaching this coming winter. Gibbo  and Liam will be  available all season long in Zermatt, book a session now so you will not  be disappointed!!

Look out for ES Ride summer camps – freestyle-specific courses which will be running in the Gravity Park, Zermatt. More info to follow shortly.
