The second winter of es-ride is going really well in both Verbier and Zermatt.

The first group of Trainee Instructors are going through their BASI Level 2 exams. Fingers crossed for a good set of results.

I would like to welcome to the team some new faces.

Virginia Pappadakis and Matt Spragg both are well qualified and have seasons of experience under their belts. They will be on hand to teach at any time.

We wish Jimbo well after damaging his ACL early season. Good luck with the OP mid Febuary.

Christmas Greetings.

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

The beginning of the winter has been as hectic as ever. Both Verbier and Zermatt are not as busy as last winter but still es-ride has had a steady flow of clients.

The trainee instructor group did very well on their BASI level one with a 90 percent pass rate, well done!!
Only negative news is that Jimbo has a tweeked knee and is out for a month. He ran out of room on a backcountry kicker landing. We hope he has a speedy recovery.

With coaching from two of the UKs top snowboard coaches Rob Norton and James Brockbanks. Individuals will have the opportunity to practice specific freestyle skills which will prepare them for their level one Developmental coach qualification which is built into the week.. Included  in the week will be a trip to the Portes du Soleil where you will get the chance to ride the Stash park in Avoriaz  which is Burton’s environmentally friendly Park as well as the Superpark in Les Crosets and the two other giant parks in Avoriaz.
