Dave is our backcountry expert here at es-ride. When not riding steep couloirs or dropping big cliffs Dave can be found touring in the extensive backcountry around Verbier or climbing frozen waterfalls around the area and in Chamonix.
Dave progressed through the BASI system and got his top British license 3 years ago. He has also has his top Swiss badge.

Ems got into board sports at an early age at home in Cornwall riding big Atlantic waves. She has 9 years of experience under her belt on snow and has competed at BUSC. She has an equal passion for both freestyle and freeride alike. Ems is part of the es-ride team in Verbier.

The first flakes of the 09/10 season are already starting to fall in Zermatt – and the es-ride team are starting to get excited!!

Graeme’s back from a summer surfing in France and will be showing of his surf-bum tan and blond highlights to the rest of the es team at the London Ski and Snowboard Show next weekend.

Meanwhile Liam is back in Ireland getting some autumn waves and ice-creme-headaches (nutter!)

Both will be out in Zermatt early November for the pre-BASI course, or maybe earlier if it keeps snowing..!

All of us at es-ride love our freestyle. In the winter in Verbier you’ll always see us in the neipark. We’ve been riding in Saas Fee this autumn, the park is excellent, with international teams training and preparing for the coming season. We’ll be running freestyle coaching sessions this winter in Verbier and Zermatt for seasonaires every Wednesday afternoon – and it won’t cost you a penny! So whether you want to slide your first box, or perfect your front 3 shifty shifty, come along and learn with us. Here’s a pic of us in the park.

‘ It has been a great couple of weeks running the instructor training course for Peak Leaders, I’ve had a group size of seven and we’ve been running through the fundamentals and the central theme gearing everyone up for the BASI level one exam. Everyday has finished with a small park session and the group have been witnessing some epic freestyle skills in the halfpipe and on the kickers. The conditions have been sunny and mild, its felt more like summer riding!! peace out Jimbo’
